Jon Boock established BVC Investments and Services Ltd. in 2001. BVC has invested in start up technologies and provides investment and management services to public and private companies. BVC’s clients include companies in the telecommunications, healthcare, media, and financial services.

In the media field, Boock was responsible for the development of the activities in the local cable and satellite television markets of the History Channel, E! Entertainment and MGM film channels, as well as extending the reach of the MGM film channel to international markets. In the financial services sector, Boock founded Israel Funds Observer which provides coverage of Israel’s money market industry and holds the distributorship for the domestic market of Morningstar, one of the world’s leading providers of financial data and analysis.

For the period from 1983 to 2001, Boock served as the CFO and Finance Director of Discount Investment Corporation and participated in all aspects of DIC’s development and expansion as set out above. Boock was actively involved in working with Tadmor in negotiating joint venture agreements, financing, setting up and monitoring the activities of the newly formed DIC enterprises. Prior to joining DIC, Boock served in a senior management role at Tadiran Israel Electronics, then one of Israel’s largest concerns in the field of civilian and military electronic systems, and previously with the Ready Mixed Concrete Group of Companies in both the UK and Israel.

Jon Boock graduated from the Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of New Zealand. He has lived in Israel for over 40 years and as well as being involved in other public activities, Boock is the Chairman of the Israel – New Zealand Friendship Association.
